We bought our farmhouse in 2012 and than we immediately moved to Brooklyn, NY. For two years we rented out our farmhouse and dreamed about what we would do with it. In 2015, we moved back and purchased ducks. A garden went in, chickens were purchased, cows roamed the fields, and I got to canning.

In our area, there are not many young farmers. This blog’s intention is to share with the world my recipes and our mistakes and victories in homesteading. My husband, R, grew up on the dairy farm next door–but I grew up in the Adirondacks. So we have different backgrounds and skill sets.

I hope I am able to share some education and humor as I muck through manure!
