Granola.

Today I spent a majority of the day meal prepping. I prepare several meals and put them in mason jars or glass tupperware and pull them out when needed.

But I also decided to make some homemade granola! Simple ingredients and its always fun to make your own “cereal” because the options are endless.

Here’s what I did:

Pre-Heat oven to 300 degrees.

On a baking sheet, spread some coconut oil over it. Take some regular rolled oats (I get mine from the bulk bins at my coop for less than $2 a pound) and spread them out. Now, add a binder (I used honey) and toppings! Today I went with sliced almonds, chia seeds, flax seeds, ground ginger, and a pinch of salt.

Bake for 30 minutes and mix it around every ten minutes. It will start to be a golden brown and smell amazing. I pull it out, let it cool, and added raisins.

After that all you have to do it put it in a jar or eat it! I love this because I can’t get granola in bulk or plastic free and I am also able to control what’s in it. I can make a small batch or a huge one. It take little time or effort and the pay out is delicious!
